TITLE:  Family Services and Transportation Coordinator         SALARY RANGE:    $31,319-$45,162

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:  The Early Head Start Family Services and Transportation Coordinator is responsible for development and supervision of the Family and Community Partnerships of the Early Head Start Program.  The Early Head Start Family Services and Transportation Coordinator reports to the EHS Director and works in partnership with the Policy Council.  The Early Head Start Family Services and Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the development of the Early Head Start Family and Community partnership and the supervision of all EHS Home Visitors, Transportation and Family Services. The EHS Family Services and Transportation Coordinator develops family plans, prepares Family Services portion of the EHS budget, maintains recruitment process for enrolling eligible pregnant women, infants and toddlers and children with disabilities, certifies eligibility of all families through application process, monitors enrollment and daily attendance and percentages weekly, receives and maintains children’s enrollment application, oversees the operation of Transportation,  as well as completing other EHS duties.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field. Experience as a service coordinator or have experience working in a related human service field. Experience and skills in assisting parents of young children in advocating and decision-making for their families.  Supervisory experience.  Understanding of nonprofit fiscal management to include budgeting.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:  Master’s Degree in Human Services or related field. Extensive experience in Human Services.  Experience coordinating transportation services. Experience working in a Child Care environment.  Experience with Early Head Start.
