WORKING TITLE:    Administrative Assistant          SALARY RANGE:    $16,662 - $27,096

 

CENTER:  Suffolk (with weekly travel to Franklin)      POSITION #: EHS-103

 

HOURS:   Monday through Friday 9:00 to 6:00
                                                              
                                                                                                                

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assures confidentiality of children, families, and all employees.

Maintains a safe, healthy, clean and orderly work environment. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and processing paperwork. Assists with all areas of recruitment to include:  processing applications, scheduling interviews, checking references, processing background checks, and preparing materials for orientation. Responsible for creating and maintaining all confidential employee files.

Tracks employee file data by running reports, sending out reminders for items due, updating HR database and files all documents. Maintains the HR Training database and files all training documents. Assists with Open Enrollment and processing benefit paperwork. Assists in the annual performance evaluation process. Participates in job fairs. Posts and advertises open positions on an as needed basis. Assists HR Manager in various research projects and/or special projects. Organizes and maintains complete records in EI and Rehab charts. Prepares Rehab charts for PCPC  review as needed. Greets and assist visitors. Maintains and directs incoming telephone calls. Opens and distributes mail. Checks in packages and delivers to appropriate person. Supports Front Desk in Suffolk when scheduled. Collects fees for services, which includes credit card payments. Prepares charts and resource materials as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  Must have knowledge of principals and practices of Human Resources.  Must be able to perform intermediate Microsoft Office applications.  Experience working in an office environment. Experience answering multi-line phones.  Customer service experience. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:  Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience with an HR Information System.
