TITLE: Substitute
Bus Driver
POSITION

SALARY RANGE: $7.25-$8.70
per hour

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED: High
School Diploma or equivalent. Must
obtain CPR/First Aid certification. Must
have a valid Virginia Drivers License. Must
be able to lift children in and out of vehicle as well as transfer car
seats
from one vehicle to another, up to 50 lbs. Must demonstrate familiarity
with
ethnic background of clients and be able to serve and effectively
communicate
with children, families, co-workers, and the public. Must be 21 years
of age.
Must have current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with endorsement for
passenger bus. Must be able to read a map and follow directions.
Demonstrate
knowledge of proper bus/van procedures and mechanical operations of
vehicles.
Must have ability to hear, see, talk, reach, handle, stoop and lift a
minimum
of 10 lbs. Must be able to physically move up and down stairs on the
bus. Must
be able to sit for extended periods of time, traveling up to 6 hours a
day.
QUALIFICATIONS
PREFERRED:
Ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, flexibility,
organizational
skills, and high energy level. Experience with children and early
childhood
development knowledge. Experience as a
Bus Driver for a school.
